Christine S. Clark, Licensed Clinical Social Work has a varied academic and employment background. She received her undergraduate degree from Webster University in St. Louis, MO. She was awarded the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship to attend Temple University to study World Religions. She attended the University of Huston to study Educational Psychology. She obtained her Masters of Social Work from Florida State University. Christine taught high school World Religions and English in Houston, TX. Later she moved to Gainesville and worked for N.C. F Mental Health (Now Meridian). She has worked for UF, College of Medicine, first in Pediatrics and transferred to the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine. After 26 years she retired. In 2010 she started to direct the Social Services Department at Acorn Clinic until joining Palms Medical Group in 2015. Her special interests are: teaching in an academic setting, hypnosis/hypnotherapy, smoking cessation, and facilitating mental health therapy for patients. Christine is an avid gym exercise and cyclist. She has completed 14 marathons. She loves to work with stained glass, loves to garden, and enjoys being wither two grandchildren, Layla and Cameron. She has one son who is a PharmD at the VA Hospital.
