Hans Christian Cancel-Villamil, MD
Hans Cancel-Villamil, MD is a board-certified family physician who is originally from Puerto Rico. He finished his studies at the University of Puerto Rico in Biology and subsequently went to the Medical Sciences campus for his Medical Doctorate before continuing to his residency in Family Medicine in NFRMC in alliance with UCF. During residency, he was on the rural medicine tract and served in Trenton with Palms Medical Group and found it to be a great place to serve the population, being able to exercise his multilingual status with a wide array of patients. His biggest focus and the reason he went into family medicine was to be able to keep the population as healthy as he could, working primarily with preventive medicine. He favors the rural regions due to his coming from Puerto Rico and most of the primary medicine there being in outlying rural areas. His approach is a holistic one with interdisciplinary care to take care of the whole person. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, exercising his multiple languages and dancing.
