Jessica Bencsik, DNP, RN, APRN, CPNP-PC began her nursing career, after graduating from the University of Florida with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2005, in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Shands at the University of Florida. After working as a bedside nurse for 5 years she completed her Masters Degree with a specialty in Pediatrics. She began working at Palms Medical Group in 2009 in the Chiefland location. In 2012, she returned to Brandman University to obtain her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree with a focus on the management of pediatric anxiety. Her doctoral project titled “Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Management of Child Anxiety in a Rural Primary Care Clinic with the Evidence-Based COPE program” was published May of 2015 in the Journal of Pediatric Healthcare. She was also honored with the “Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing” awarded by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing for her doctoral work. Most recently she was awarded the 2021 Preceptor of the Year by the University of Florida.
Jessica has had the opportunity to share her doctoral work at multiple national conventions for nursing and has been featured in three different textbooks. Jessica loves working in the Tri-county area and believes through evidence-based compassionate care she can make a difference in her patient’s lives. She is the proud mother of two girls Rylee and Harper.
