Dr. Jeyko Garuz, a graduate of the University of Florida, originally from Panama and raised in Miami, FL, now resides in High Springs, Florida. He earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington, where he developed a profound appreciation for outdoor activities such as snowboarding, hiking, and exploring the Appalachian Trail. Following his medical education, Dr. Garuz completed his residency in Columbia, South Carolina, where he continued his camping adventures with his wife, daughter, and sled dog. After completing his residency, he returned to his roots in Florida, where he and his wife have since expanded their family to include three children, two dogs, two cats, and whole lot of plants. With a passion for pediatric and adolescent care, Dr. Garuz is known for his approachable demeanor and commitment to providing compassionate care to families. Fluent in Spanish, he takes pride in serving communities with a large Latino population, allowing him to both enhance his language skills and offer crucial support to those in need. Dr. Garuz is now the Assistant Medical Director for Palms Medical Group, a role that enables him to mentor new providers and help them realize their full potential.
